The newly formed Greater Navarre Chamber of Commerce has scheduled its first meeting as a public forum which will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13. at the Navarre Area Board of Realtors office, located at 1917 Navarre School Road.

CEO Tony Alexander said the meeting will provide an overview of the organization, and membership applications will be available.

The chamber has officially opened up its Charter Investor Member enrollment period, which will run from August 25, 2016 through February 17, 2017. Businesses, organizations and individuals interested in joining are encouraged to email membership@greaternavarrechamber.com.

“The Greater Navarre Area Chamber of Commerce will serve as a partner and advocate, championing for Business, Education, Economic Development, Workforce Development, Tourism and the Military in Santa Rosa County,” said Alexander. “The greater Navarre area continues to grow, it is important the business community and individuals looking to invest in an organization working on their behalf have options.”

Alexander has described the organizers as “excited” about moving forward with the first meeting and membership enrollment. “We still have a lot of work to do but this is a critical next step in moving the organization forward,” he said.

Alexander said the chamber’s website is under development and should be live in a couple of weeks. For more information contact Alexander at ceo@greaternavarrechamber.com.
